We’re mixing it up here at the Design Annex. Our recent Design Crit events attracted a combination of designers and non-designers and the synergy bubbling in the room got us thinking – wouldn’t it be great to have this every day?

We currently have openings for new members and are welcoming freelancers, solopreneurs and other professionals in any field to join us.

To maintain their licenses, architects need continue their professional development. Lunch & Learns are a common way for them to do this, with presentations on the latest materials and design practices.

Design Annex is now hosting these events but you don’t have to be an architect to attend. For example, at the recent workshop on acoustics for old and new multi-family residences, a real estate agent, a condo association trustee, and a small scale developer joined us to get information on issues relevant to them.

Next week we’re hosting Kone elevators for a Lunch & Learn. They’ll be talking about Machine Room Less Elevators. For developers and designers needing to make the most of any square foot, this one is intriguing.
